Actions have consequences
If you read my post below, you can see that I was excited to find the perfect building for a brewery. The final word on this space is that the landlord has a craft brewery tenant in another of his complexes. The listing broker told me that the landlord is reluctant to lease to another brewery because he has had "challenges" with his current brewery tenant.
So in relation to the title of this post, an operating brewery's relationships with customers, vendors, landlords, and the government agencies that regulate the brewery has consequences that can affect future breweries. Polluting the waters by not following the provisions of the existing lease, neglecting the conditions in the C.U.P. that dictate operations, and going outside of the box regarding agency regulations will come back to haunt not only the offending brewery, but others in the business.
Please be a good customer, tenant, brewery industry representative, city business, community supporter, and neighbor. Others have done so, and that is why you are able to open a craft brewery now.
